The Local Area

With St. Augustine known as the oldest city in the United States, there are tons of things to do in the surrounding area. Yallaha at Griffin Estate is in the heart of the city, less than one mile from the Plaza de la ConstituciĆ³n with a multitude of museums, restaurants, shopping, and other local area attractions all within walking distance. The home is located on a Peninsula, situated between the Matanzas Intercoastal Waterway and the San Sebastian River.

If you're new to the city, our suggestion is to take an Old Town Trolley to get your bearings and learn more about St. Augustine's rich history. It's a hop on, hop off tour and you can even start your ride at St. Augustine Distillery, which is just a 4-minute walk (0.2 miles) away and offers free tasting tours daily. On your way to the tour or on your way back, dine at St. Augustine Fish Camp or Ice Plant for excellent food and drinks.

There are two beaches, about a 15-minute drive away - St. Augustine Beach and Vilano Beach. Anastasia State Park is just a 10-minute drive and is great for nature walks or to rent kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards through Anastasia Watersports for a fun day on the water in Salt Run which makes way for beautiful views of the St. Augustine Lighthouse. We have beach chairs, beach towels, a beach bag, and a soft-sided cooler for you to use during your stay!

We have so many more recommendations and would love to help you curate your next trip when you stay with us.
